It is very rare that you will be able to become successfull without some kind of work, or money to throw at other people working. Some small businesses, you can set up and step back from and they will continue to bring in money, some businesses require you to provide some kind of service and may be based around personal skills you have - the success of the business is down to you starting something that is needed / wanted, then learning and applying the key skills of marketing your business.
We all make excuses about time constraints and money holding us back - but you know that this website cost me nothing but time to build - because I did it myself, and costs about £2.50 per month hosting. It brings in a reasonable passive income for its size, content and demand for the information.
I'm female, have a full time job, am on lots of committees and clubs, I'm in my late 30's and taught myself how to build a website buy buying a disc with templates on from Costco back in early 2000. I'm no-one special, I just love to try new things and have a nothing to loose so why not attitude.
The worst thing that could have happened when I tried to build my first website is that it would not work ... and then, I could just try to learn a different way. To get to this stage I have messed around and built over 100 different styles over lots of website's learned lots of code (which is basically short versions of words in brackets) and been to pubs to meet other people who like to do the same. It's not rocket science.
What is a squeezel - Quoting the urban dictionary a Squeezel affectionately means a person who attempts to squeeze every last dollar from ones pocket. It is also a vietnamese term for a porcupine and my personal explaination for a squirrel crossed with a weasel when I can't identify which one it is I saw run across the road in front of the car!
